The Reactive Dog Recovery Program

🐾 Reactive Dog Recovery

Your Weekly Action Checklist

This program works best when you follow the rhythm.

Not perfectly.
Just consistently.

Here’s exactly what to do each week.

📌 MONDAY — SEE

☐ Watch the See lesson in full

☐ Take notes on what feels familiar in your own dog

☐ Observe your dog in one real-life situation this week without trying to change anything

☐ Write down what you notice differently

Focus: Observation over intervention.

This isn’t all about fixing.
It’s about recognising patterns you may have missed before.

📌 WEDNESDAY — UNDERSTAND

☐ Watch the Understand lesson

☐ Identify the function behind one recurring behaviour

☐ Ask yourself: What is my dog gaining, avoiding or controlling here?

☐ Reflect on how your own response may influence the outcome

Focus: Clarity reduces emotion.

The goal is to replace “Why are they like this?”
With … “What purpose is this serving?”

📌 FRIDAY — APPLY

☐ Watch the Apply lesson

☐ Choose ONE strategy to implement (not five)

☐ Practice in a controlled setting first

☐ Keep sessions short and neutral

☐ Record what changes — even small ones

Focus: Better decisions, not dramatic transformation.

Consistency beats intensity.

📌 THROUGHOUT THE WEEK

☐ Rewatch any part you need
☐ Avoid binge-watching future modules
☐ Practice in short repetitions
☐ Notice your own stress levels before training
☐ Step away if emotion is high

Progress is cumulative.

Small changes compound.

📌 SUNDAY — LIVE GROUP CALL

☐ Review your notes before joining
☐ Bring one pattern or question (if needed)
☐ Listen to others’ scenarios — they will mirror your own
☐ Leave with one adjustment to try next week

If you can’t attend live:

☐ Watch the replay within 48 hours
☐ Write down one takeaway
☐ Implement it within the week

🔁 Weekly Reset

At the end of each week, ask yourself:

• What did I see differently?
• What do I understand better?
• What decision did I change?

If you can answer those three questions, you are progressing.

Even if behaviour hasn’t dramatically shifted yet.

🚫 What Not To Do

✘ Don’t jump ahead to “fix it faster”
✘ Don’t compare your dog to others
✘ Don’t expect elimination of instinct
✘ Don’t judge progress week by week

This is recovery.
Not suppression.

🔑 Remember The Rhythm

See.
Understand.
Apply.

When you follow the rhythm, clarity replaces panic.

And clarity changes outcomes.
